Tool & Tensioning Technology

Tensioning Devices

The very good vibration-reducing properties of mineral casting is increasingly being used for the basic body of machine tools involving cutting processes (drilling, milling, grinding). The mounting surfaces are ground as a rule. The moulding of hoses or pipes for pneumatic or hydraulic clamping is possible.

Fixing plates

An essential increase in dynamic rigidity has also been confirmed for clamping plates with almost the same construction part weight in operating practice. The use of modular systems can increase the flexibility and universal utility of devices.

Chucks

It is possible to fill the internal spaces of chuck jaws with mineral casting and make them lighter. In comparison to steel chucks, one achieves a lower mass moment of inertia, which becomes positively noticeable at high accelerations. Not to mention the good vibration absorbing properties of mineral casting.
